आनूकम् [ānūkam], Ved. Ornament, jewels; आनूकमर्यो वपुषे नार्चत् Rv.5.33.9. ind. In abundance, greatly.

आनूक n. (fr. अन्व्-अञ्च्) , " lying close to " , ornament , jewels RV. v , 33 , 9 ([according to NBD. 524642 आनूकम्ind. subsequently ; but Sa1y. explains the word by आभरण]).

Ānūka.--Geldner thinks that in its solitary occurrence in the Rigveda this word means an ornament. Roth takes it adverbially, and so do Ludwig and Oldenberg.
