Usage

This template is used to separate groups of terms in Wikisaurus. The meaning of the separation is unspecific; it may indicate an increase in semantic distance in a list of synonyms, or a different level of nesting in a list of hyponyms.

It can be rendered as a bullet list item with long dashes, as it is now, as a horizontal rule, or in another way.
